The Department of Nutrition and Health Care Management (NHM) in the Beaver College of Health Sciences (BCHS) at Appalachian State University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month position in Nutrition and Foods available August 1, 2016. A Master’s degree in nutrition/food systems management or a related area is required. Experience in teaching food systems management and food production courses and/or experience in food service is preferred.
Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses in nutrition and foods, including, but not limited to, Food Purchasing and Production Management, Quantity Food Production, and Food systems/Dietetics Administration. Other possible courses are Beverage Management, Experimental Foods, and Nutrition and Health. Additional responsibilities will involve managing food lab resources, assisting in program development, and engaging in professional, departmental and university activities.
