Position: Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor in Financial Planning (Nine month, academic appointment, non-tenure track). Start date August 11, 2016 or as negotiated.

Qualifications: To be considered for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor, the applicant must hold an earned doctoral degree in financial planning or closely related discipline (e.g., consumer economics, financial planning, accounting (tax), law, business). At the time of appointment, candidates must have at least 5 years of experience as a financial planner. Additionally, candidates must hold designations and/or credentials consistent with the financial planning profession. The applicant should demonstrate great potential for outstanding scholarly competence and research productivity. Successful college teaching experience and active membership in relevant professional organizations are desirable. All applicants must have a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education.

Position Description: Tenure Track faculty position in the area of Fashion (Retail) Merchandising in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Pittsburg State University.  Academic year (nine month) appointment.  Available:  August 2016. Position contingent upon funding.

Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate fashion, retail, apparel, textile and merchandising, and department core courses; academic and student organization advisement; meet scholarship requirements; establish positive working relationships with apparel/retail industry representatives and participate in appropriate service activities expected of a Pittsburg State University faculty member.  Participate in long range planning and curriculum development for the department.

A Community Engagement Carnegie Foundation classified institution, Oklahoma State University has embedded community engagement in its strategic plan to effect positive outcomes in its students, employees, and communities around the state and beyond. This position will serve as the College of Human Sciences Community & Global Engagement Coordinator under the direction of the Associate Dean for Extension and Engagement to help support mutually beneficial university-community relationships. The College is committed to creating a supportive environment in which community-engaged research, teaching, and service will be maximized for faculty, staff, and students.

The Beaver College of Health Sciences (BCHS) at Appalachian State University welcomes nominations and applications for a dynamic and innovative leader for the position of Chairperson of the Department of Nutrition and Health Care Management (NHM) beginning July 1, 2016. The Department of NHM is a relatively new department as part of the development of the BCHS. The department offers three degree programs: Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Foods, Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management, and Master of Science in Nutrition. The Master of Science in Nutrition degree includes the accredited Dietetic Internship program. In addition, a new Master of Health Administration degree program is under review by the UNC system, and is proposed to begin Fall 2016. The programs in nutrition and foods are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), and the undergraduate degree in health care management is certified by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA). The three degree programs in the department enroll approximately 420 undergraduate majors and 30 graduate students. The department is home to approximately 16 faculty and staff with new faculty searches in process. The Chair of the Department of NHM reports directly to the Founding Dean of the BCHS. The primary duties of this position are to lead and develop the department in keeping with the mission of the college and the university. In this capacity the chair will mentor junior faculty in developing scholarship and teaching, support mid- level and senior faculty in expanding expertise in teaching, scholarship and service, build successful collaborations within the department and the college, and promote the department at the university, state, and national level. The chair will establish and maintain productive relationships with other professional organizations, as well as regional, state and federal agencies.
