Family and Consumer Sciences - Human Nutrition

Position: Assistant Professor, Family and Consumer Sciences, Human Nutrition focus; nine-month academic year, tenure-track appointment with 45% teaching, 45% research, 5% advising, and 5% service.

Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses with a community and/or clinical focus in Human Nutrition and Food/Didactic Program in Nutrition and Dietetics (DPND) which may include: Nutrition, Community Nutrition, Food Systems Production, Elderly Nutrition and/or Lifecycle Nutrition. Some of these courses are currently offered both online and in the classroom. Additional courses as part of the required teaching load may be negotiable according to the applicant's background and expertise. In addition, the individual will be expected to establish a research program related to human nutrition; supervise Master's and interdisciplinary Biomedical Science PhD students, advise undergraduate students, and provide service to the department, college, university and discipline. 
The Oklahoma State University Department of Nutritional Sciences and Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service invite applications for an 11-month tenure-track position in Cooperative Extension with a portion (.166 FTE) of the appointment in the Community Nutrition Education Program. This is a full-time position with a negotiable start date.

FOCUS AREA: This position addresses the nutrition, health and wellness education needs of Oklahoma's citizens. It is also charged with developing an interdisciplinary approach for implementing the Cooperative Extension's National Framework for Health and Wellness. The overall programmatic outcome is to increase the number of Oklahomans who are healthy at every stage of life. 
UW-Madison is seeking a PhD level faculty with a background in Household Finance, Human Development and Family Studies, Consumer Science, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Economics, Social Work or a related discipline. Successful candidates should have a high-quality program of scholarly research, strong potential for external funding, and a commitment to the application of knowledge that addresses the financial challenges encountered by families in an aging society. Scholars with applied research on low-income or financially vulnerable households are encouraged. The position is in the School of Human Ecology with a focus on working across disciplines with diverse families in different contexts. Areas of teaching, research and outreach may include: 
The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) is seeking team-oriented candidates for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics (FND) beginning on August 16, 2015. The anticipated appointment is 75% teaching and 25% research/scholarly activity.
