Family Resource Management Field Specialist

Location: Sioux Falls Regional Extension Center and Rapid City Regional Extension Center
Appointment: Full-time, 100% non-faculty exempt position. This position is accountable to the Consumer Sciences Department Head, and serves under the programmatic direction of the Food & Family Program Director. Position Purpose: The Family Resource field specialist is responsible for providing direction for implementation of educational programming in personal and family finance. Reporting to the Food & Family Program Director, and working collaboratively with field specialists, volunteers, and campus faculty, the Family Resource Management field specialist is responsible for supporting program development, and curriculum delivery strategies in the areas of personal and family finances. The Family Resource Management field specialist connects his/her work to the latest research on financial capability, and collaborates with learning communities, campus departments, and state and community partners. The Family Resource Management field specialist supports the SDSU Extension mission, strategic vision and planning assumptions, complies with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, and all University policies, including Affirmative Action, and commits to the inclusion of diverse South Dakotans.
