The University of Georgia, College of Family and Consumer Sciences is seeking applications for Department Head in Housing and Consumer Economics.

Applicants must hold an earned doctorate in housing, consumer economics, family financial planning, or related area, qualifications consistent with rank of professor, and a proven record of leadership and commitment to excellence in research, undergraduate and graduate education, and public service. This position requires strong leadership capabilities, the ability to secure research and development funding, and it is expected that the successful candidate will lead the faculty and its programs to a higher level of excellence. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and managerial skills are required.

QUALIFICATIONS
· Earned doctorate in Personal Financial Planning, Finance,
Consumer/Family Economics, or Economics. Other terminal degrees, such as a JD, will be considered.
· CFPR certificate in hand, or within three years of hire, a requirement.
· Collegiality and ability to work with existing faculty.
· Evidence of strong teaching effectiveness and research competency
· Professional membership in relevant organizations.
· Vision for curriculum development desired.

The Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy (EDCP) at the University of British Columbia invite applications for a full-time 12-month Lecturer in Home Economics Education with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years.. The appointment is expected to commence September 1, 2013.
