Illinois State University invites applications for the position of Chair of the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in one of the academic areas included in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) or related field with academic achievement which merits appointment with tenure. FCS units include: Apparel Merchandising and Design; Food, Nutrition and Dietetics; Human Development and Family Resources; and Interior and Environmental Design. The position is a twelve-month tenure track appointment. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Extension Family Financial Management Specialist/Assistant Professor Department of Consumer Sciences College of Education and Human Sciences South Dakota State University

South Dakota State University Extension and the Department of Consumer Sciences seek to fill a 10-month tenure-track Extension Specialist and Assistant Professor in Family Financial Management. The position is available on January 22, 2012.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead collaborative teams comprised of Extension Field Specialists and State Specialists in the development of Program Business Plans that are related to the Family Financial Management extension program. Lead development and delivery of educational programs based on current research in family financial management, consumerism, resource management, home-based business and micro business. Develop externally funded programs with colleagues in and outside the state. Team with other Extension Field Specialists in developing materials, workshops, and training programs.

As part of the School of Family & Consumer Sciences, the Nutrition and Foods Program offers a Baccalaureate degree in Nutrition and Foods (4 tracks). Family Financial Management and Planning Assistant Professor
Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies

Position: Successful candidate for this position will have: (1) education in family financial management and planning, (2) experience with and interest in on-line education, (3) an understanding of the qualifications for a certified financial planner, (4) excellent teaching skills for courses in family financial management, family economics, and financial planning at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and (5) research and grant writing skills. This is a 9-month, tenure-track assistant professor position available Fall 2012 in the Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies.
